Portofino
This charming seaside village is undoubtedly one of the most famous locations in the Gulf of Tigullio. With its colourful harbour, traditional houses and breathtaking views, Portofino has attracted celebrities and tourists from all over the world. Stroll along the famous Piazzetta, a charming and lively place surrounded by luxury boutiques and elegant cafés. Enjoy the panoramic view of the bay and the marina.
During your visit, be sure to visit the Brown Castle, a historic fortress that offers a spectacular view of the coastline. In addition, nature lovers can explore the Portofino Regional Park, a protected nature reserve offering hiking trails, unique fauna and flora, and enchanting viewpoints.
Santa Margherita Ligure
Located just a few kilometres from Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure is a pretty seaside resort with an elegant promenade, luxury boutiques and high-quality restaurants. Here you can relax on the beach, enjoy the sun and the crystal-clear Ligurian sea.

Another famous bay is the Baia del Silenzio, an enchanting place with a shell-shaped beach surrounded by characteristic pastel-coloured buildings.
In addition to the beautiful beaches, Sestri Levante also offers a charming old town, characterised by medieval streets, lively squares and traditional craft shops. How to reach the Tigullio Gulf
From the Hotel Astoria in Genoa, you can easily reach the charming locations of the Tigullio Gulf. During the high season, especially in summer, it is not advisable to travel by car due to traffic and the scarcity of parking spaces.
Fortunately, there is a very convenient alternative: the train. The Genoa Brignole station is only a stone's throw from the hotel: from here, frequent trains connect the city to all the coastal resorts of the Tigullio.
