Genoa bike tour by the sea


A perfect route for all the sea lovers, which can be explored in all seasons, but is particularly suited to the warm weather, is the one that runs along the sea. Departing from Hotel Astoria by bike, you can leave the chaos of the city behind you and quickly reach the sea.


Explore Piazza della Vittoria, just a stone's throw from the hotel, with its iconic arch and artistic flower beds, featuring floral arrangements that reproduce Christopher Columbus's caravels. From here you can head toward the coast, heading to intercept the new bike path along Corso Italia.


A stop in the historic fishing village of Boccadasse is a must, now enlivened by trendy clubs and frequented by tourists and locals alike.


Continuing on, you will be able to visit some of Genoa's most beautiful beaches, until you reach Nervi. This elegant Genoese hamlet is renowned for its pretty little port, full of bars and restaurants, but also for the beautiful Anita Garibaldi promenade. Here it will be possible to stop for an ice cream or a tasty aperitif, before returning to the hotel.

For culture enthusiasts, a bike tour of Genoa's historic center can be arranged.

You will be able to head to Via Garibaldi, an elegant cobbled street full of historic buildings and museums, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you can visit the Palazzi dei Rolli and the Strada Nuova Museums (Palazzo Tursi, Palazzo Bianco and Palazzo Rosso).


Explore Genoa's labyrinthine alleyways until you reach the Old Port, with its imposing structures by renowned architect Renzo Piano and its many trendy clubs. Once you arrive at your destination, you can choose whether to return to your hotel, or continue with a visit to one of the area's attractions. The most interesting ones? The Bigo, the Aquarium or the Galata Maritime Museum.
